Last month, I invited you to join me in an artistic
adventure: to look closely at winter, find a fresh sense of wonder, and create something. Even if – or
maybe especially if – we were feeling tired of winter, the practice could be good for
us.
Well, other people were already
doing this as naturally as they were breathing!
Every
Wednesday, Sue Heavenrich posts one of her recent photographs.
Each one is a seasonal
observation and a piece of art. Sue
loves the earth no matter what colors it’s wearing. She also writes to study, to celebrate and to protect
the environment. Her blog is called Archimedes
Notebook. (archimedesnotebook.blogspot.com).
Minnie
Jardine has been sharing photographs, too.
Amidst the chaos and clutter of Facebook, her images stand out. They embrace the season just as it is. Minnie is curious about winter’s deep
darkness and she is interested in finding sunlight playing through the
trees. She seems to smile at the weather no matter what tricks it throws. Minnie is also a painter, yoga teacher, and
reiki practitioner.
