From the Flea Market

I’m still practicing being content with what I get done in a month…the quantity and quality.   Sometimes I’m happy when I look at my flea market, and sometimes I’m not.  When I try to remember  how much I was enjoying the activity of creating, I feel pretty good about my work.

Here is the color spread that accompanies my picture book.

A glass bead necklace.

I put more time into this piece.  I was thinking about winter and also the word “sanctuary”.

I took a lot of photos, collecting ideas for paintings.  (I am a wimp about actually painting out in the snow.)

Then, my husband reminded me to get back to painting! So, I made this quick scene.

  1. Oooh - I love the snow scene. And sanctuary - that is visually complex and satisfying at the same time. Thanks for sharing. And you get a lot done in a month!
